Our Partners in Ecuador Need Your Prayers!
Severe fires are raging in the capital city of Ecuador, covering the city in smoke. Over 2,000 firefighters, rescue workers, and military personnel are trying to contain the flames. South America has been in an intense drought (the worst they have seen in the past 60 years,) making the fires even harder to stop. Many people have evacuated and lost their homes.
The city is also suffering from power shortages, as the rivers have been too low to produce enough power from their hydroelectric dams. Many people are without power for 8-10 hours each day!
I spoke to our partners in Ecuador yesterday. They are safe but concerned about the fast spread of the fires.
Please pray for rain! And pray that the firefighters will be able to stop the fires.
It means so much to have your support during a time like this. Our partners are grateful to know you are praying!
